What it is, and how to join...

Someone searching the Web has only to find one participating site in the Ring to be a mouse click away from finding another participating mall !   A shopper can browse easily from one mall to another in the ring until he has found the kind of shop he wants.  Participating malls will receive visits from potential customers who may never have found them without the Ring.

Here are the simple guidelines for inclusion in the ring:

1) Your site should contain shops, at least one, where customers can actually buy goods and services on the Internet. Your site should be attractive yet functional. We presume shoppers want to find shops, not pretty graphics, MLM or gimmicks. The page you register with the webring must not be a 're-direct url', should load within 20 seconds (preferably less). In other words, go easy on java script or large art files on the page. No ADULT or SEXUALLY oriented sites, please.

2) The page you register with the webring may be your mall's main page giving direct access to its shops and features... However, you must also register the page on which you place the ring HTML Fragment and it must be easy for shoppers to get to after they have visited any of your shops (without having to use the 'BACK' function on their browser). For it is on this page that you are required to install the webring code. If you are not prepared to carry the webring code then you can not be a part of this ring! Pages containing only (or even mainly) reciprocal links or promotional banners will not qualify.

3) Only the approved HTML Fragment (ring code) must be on the page you register - DO NOT modify it. You may adjust the background or font color to make it match your site, but you MAY NOT alter the function of the links within it.

4) Please Note - This is NOT a business opportunities ring (How to Make Money, MLM, Network Marketing, Get Your Own Mall, Home Based Business opportunities, Scams, etc.). This ring is for sites that have products: merchant-to-consumer sales. There are many fine rings for business opportunities, but this is not one of them.

5) The decision of the Ringmaster or Ring Helper(s) to include or exclude sites is final. You do not have a 'right to belong' just because you apply. Sites admitted to the ring may be moved to the queue or deleted without notice if they are found to be in violation of the guidelines or caught cheating. Deleting, or unauthorized alteration of the HTML Fragment is considered cheating. Placing the HTML fragment on an unlinked page (where the use of the browser 'BACK' function is necessary for a shopper to return to the page) will result in your site not being approved or it being deleted from the ring.

6) Your site must be operational. Change is fine (and expected to keep a site looking fresh), but 'Under Construction' sites will not be accepted.
